Sarah grew up in San Antonio, Texas. At school she partook in everything from cheerleading to acting and singing to participating on the math team at state competitions. Sarah was accepted into The McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas, Austin in 2000 where she earned her BBA. She graduated with a major in marketing, a minor in management, and a focus in consumer insights. During college, Sarah was President of the UT Concert Chorale and performed at Carnegie Hall in New York. She was also active in multiple theatrical productions on and off campus, including The Madrigal Dinner Theater, the UT Opera Chorus, and was socially involved with her sorority, Chi Omega. Chi Omega is dedicated to assisting the Make-A-Wish foundation in their quest to grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Sarah realized the need to have extensive employment experience before her graduation at UT. Her most notable opportunities between 2000 and 2006 are as follows:

  • Accounting Intern - Valero Energy Corporation
  • Convention Services Intern - Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, MI
  • Marketing Intern - The Austin Music Network – Channel 15; now called Music Entertainment (ME) Television
  • Assistant Coordinator for the Eltekon NFL Celebrity Classic - Hurricane Sports Group
  • Entertainment Editor – The Austin Student Newspaper
  • Onsite Producer - Clear Channel Radio Austin
  • National Promotions Coordinator - Emmis Austin Radio

As of April 2006, Sarah dismissed her part time positions and accepted an exciting, full-time position as Natural Resources Council Recruiter for Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) in the Austin, Texas office where she connects industry professionals in areas of energy and industrials with clients of GLG. She is confident that the additional experiences and networking skills she learns with GLG will assist her in achieving her goals.

Sarah began singing with Jokers Wild Band in July of 2005 performing covers at various events around Texas such as the 2007 Toyota Convention alongside Lee Ann Womack and guest speakers Terry Bradshaw, Jeff Foxworthy, and President George Bush Senior. In the Fall of 2006, Sarah left Jokers Wild Band to focus on her original album that is set to be completed by the Fall of 2007. Additionally, she performs for various events independently.
